Diets that exclude certain foods
There are diets that exclude certain food groups - for example, carbohydrates or fats - or only allow certain combinations of foods. The disadvantage of these diets is that it requires a great deal of discipline not to be allowed to eat rice, pasta or bread year in year out or to only be allowed to eat lean products. In addition, prohibited fruits taste the best, so there is a danger that you will crave them, and as soon as you start eating these foods again you will arrive. Diets that limit calories Other diets prescribe that you can eat a maximum number of calories per day. You also need a strong discipline for these diets. Can you continue to eat a maximum of 1500 calories per day, year after year, or do you experience it as 'biting the ball' after a while and will you be disappointed? Intuitive food What is meant by intuitive food Intuitive eating was invented in the 90s by American dietitians. In England, intuitive eating is advocated in 2018 by two nutritionists (Dr. Laura Tomas and Pixie Turner) and two dietitians (Helen West and Rosie Saunt). They fight against the idea that our bodies are imperfect, and that diets are the solution to resolve our imperfections. In their opinion, diets are certainly not a solution because you usually return to your old weight, eat binge, get obsessed with food or exercise compulsively. Literally means intuitive food that you do not think about what you eat, but your feeling follows. However, there is more to it. Even though intuitive eating does not have eating schedules or eating regulations, it is not a license to eat everything without limits; a healthy relationship with food is advocated. This way of eating is healthy because there are no forbidden foods, and you still eat a varied and balanced diet. Why intuitive food works The advocates of intuitive eating state that it gives a more lasting result than lines because you also tackle your thoughts and feelings. They therefore emphasize the importance of being kind and good to yourself and applying mindfulness to learn to listen better to your body.

You can make risotto in almost any taste that you want. Both with fish or seafood and with meat, cheese or mushrooms, almost anything is possible. There are even risotto recipes for sweet risotto (for example with melon). To ensure that the taste of the ingredients used is properly absorbed by the risotto, they must be added to the preparation process as early as possible. Pay attention to the cooking time of the ingredients!
Examples Risotto with green asparagus For this you cook the asparagus briefly. Save the boiling water to experience the risotto. Keep the asparagus tops apart to add to the risotto at the very end. Cut the rest of the asparagus into pieces and they can be cooked from the start. Mushroom risotto This dish is best made with a combination of dried, soaked mushrooms and fresh. In both cases you can preferably take porcini (porcini mushrooms). This is the traditional mushroom for Risotto ai fungi. At the beginning of the cooking process, add the soaked mushrooms at the same time as the rice. Add the fresh mushrooms about 8-10 minutes before the end. Risotto Alla Milanese This is the most classic risotto and is prepared with raw ham and saffron. You can cook the ham (preferably the real Italian pancetta, which is lightly smoked bacon) with the onion. The saffron soaked in hot water only reaches the end of the rice, otherwise a bitter taste will develop. Risotto con vongole with clams To make this dish you first cook the clams in little water. Remove the meat from the shells and add it to the risotto at the end. You use the cooking liquid to prepare the risotto. First sieve the cooking liquid through a cloth, because there can always be some sand in the shells. Instead of butter and Parmesan cheese, season the seafood risotto with fish broth, a pepper oncino (small pepper that is usually used in Italy in a dried state) and flat parsley. In short Almost every risotto has to be finished with butter and Parmesan cheese, except for the recipes with fish. Whatever taste you choose, a well-made risotto will make everyone happy. |
